How to get there

Dear visitors,

cars and busses can once again reach the Historische Stadthalle without any detours. The B7 is no longer closed to traffic.
 
The approach map (PDF on the right-hand side) shows recommended routes (for cars and HGVs/deliveries), as well as parking facilities near the Historische Stadthalle and the positions of the bus stops.

By public transport

We can be easily reached by public transport. Wuppertal main station is only a few minutes away by foot. This is highly practical if you live in the Düsseldorf, Cologne, Essen, Dortmund, Hagen, Remscheid or Solingen area.

By train

You can reach Wuppertal main station with ICE, EC and IC trains and via divers urban railway links. Leave the station from the main exit on the same floor as the booking office and turn left up Bahnhofstraße. After a few steps, you will see the Historische Stadthalle ahead of you. The walk takes about 5 minutes.

By car

If you arrive by private car, there is ample parking space (including an underground car park) between the Historische Stadthalle, the Schwimmoper and Vienna House Easy Wuppertal Hotel.

Getting to us by car:

A 46 from Düsseldorf

Exit Wuppertal-Cronenberg-Ronsdorf / Kiesbergtunnel – follow the L418 – Exit Wuppertal-Elberfeld / Universität – after the tunnel continue on the Neviandtstraße / Viehhofstraße – at the end of the road, turn left into the Südstraße – cross the Bahnhofstraße straight ahead – the car park and Stadthalle/hotel multi-storey car park are on the right-hand side after the crossroads.

A 46 from Wuppertal Nord
Exit Wuppertal Katernberg – get into the right-hand lane direction Elberfeld – Follow the signs to parkzone Stadthalle/Johannisberg.


Parking flat day rate
Make use of our flat day rate for parking. It only costs 4 Euros. One useful tip: you can pay at the pay stations in the multi-storey car park itself or in the stairwell either when you return to your vehicle or in advance of attending events. That will save you time waiting at the pay stations after the end of events.


Electric car charging points in our multi-storey car parks
You will find two charging points for electric cars in each of the multi-storey car parks that are close to the Historische Stadthalle, the “Hotel/Stadthalle” and the “Johannisberg”.
Information about the “WSW eMobil Flat-Rate Charging Card” can be found here.
In exceptional cases it is possible to borrow a charging card from the personnel of the car park.
