Arriving by the A46
From Düsseldorf, take the exit Wuppertal-Cronenberg-Ronsdorf. After the exit you will find yourself on the L 418, which you follow for about 3 km until exit “Wuppertal-Elberfeld, Universität”. After the tunnel, proceed along Neviandtstraße, which turns into Viehhofstraße. Move into the left lane and stay there. When you come to Südstraße, turn left. After crossing Bahnhofstraße, the entrance to the car parks of the Historische Stadthalle is immediately on your right.
From the Wuppertal Nord motorway junction: The Wuppertal Elberfeld exit should be avoided due to roadworks in the town centre. Please use the Wuppertal Katernberg exit.
Exit Wuppertal Katernberg:
Take the Wuppertal Katernberg exit and continue down the hill in the right lane going in the direction of Elberfeld, until you reach Robert-Daum-Platz (a large crossing with a suspension railway station and some pieces of modern sculpture). Turn left here, continue across the first set of traffic lights and take the next turning right. Turn right again at the T-junction and follow the signs to the underground car park marked „Stadthalle/Hotel“.
Arriving by the B7 from Barmen:
At the Döppersberg crossroads (a major traffic intersection with a large number of bus stops) turn left up Bahnhofstraße (in the direction of the station or „Bahnhof“). Get into the right lane immediately and continue up Bahnhofstraße, which will take you straight to the Historische Stadthalle, drive past the Historische Stadthalle and the above-ground car park and turn right into Südstraße and immediately right again into the car park where you will also find the entrance to the „Stadthalle/Hotel“ underground car park.
