Just come to our Service Point before a concert or event. You can find it in the foyer on the far left of the main entrance next to the cloak room.
| >> | You can buy programmes here. | |
| >> | You can rent special seats for children here for a deposit of 10 euros. This means that junior concert goers can see what's going on without problems. The Service-Point will return the deposit to you when you give back the seat. | |
| >> | You can book cheap shared taxis here for 6,- Euros per person. For many concerts and events taking place in the Großer Saal, we offer you a convenient collective taxi service. Before concerts, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and during the interval, you can book your trip home at the collective taxi desk in the Wandelhalle (Foyer). After the concert, the collective taxi desk will direct you to „your“ driver, who will take no more than four passengers to their homes in comfort. |
Pre-concert lecture
The Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal offers introductory talks on the works to be played in the following concerts:
| > | Symphony concerts (the talk will only take place on the Monday at 7 p.m.) | |
| > | Some choir concerts (please consult the programme announcements for futher information) |
The talks, which will begin one hour before the concert, will be presented by Professor Lutz-Werner Hesse. Information on the venue for the lecture will be displayed in the foyer on the evening of the concert.
Accessibility
The Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal is naturally adapted to the needs of the disabled. Wheelchair ramps and lifts ensure easy access to all rooms. A wheelchair is available in the building and our doorman and the staff of Culinaria would be happy to give you any assistance you might require.
Untramelled enjoyment
What is to be done if you arrive too late for a concert? No problem, please contact our ushers and they will be happy to help you to slip into the concert hall without disturbing the rest of the audience.
And do please remember to turn off your cell telephone or any other equipment with a bleeper, like watches, for example, before the concert starts. We would also be grateful if you would refrain from making any unnecessary noice by talking, coughing or unwrapping sweets, so as not to disturb the concentration of the musicians or diminish the enjoyment of the music for the audience.
Thank you.
